Missionary Support

Awana Missionaries David and Liz Roach

David & Liz Roach serve as Awana missionaries serving 250 churches with a mission of reaching children and youth across central North Carolina with the gospel. These 250 churches are discipling a combined 16,000 children each week! We know the challenges facing today's youth and Awana is a ministry committed to sharing the hope of Jesus with every child and teen. Awana is a Bible club ministry where young people study Bible verses, sing songs and play games. In their ministry role, David & Liz provide training, resources and encouragement to help churches and ministry leaders do effective and life-changing ministry to children and youth who desperately need the hope of Jesus!  They live in Winston Salem, NC with their three children.

Benedictines of Christ the King – East Africa

Bros. Kirt and Ned Gerber are not just Benedictine monks but brothers in real life. Previously they served to raise funds for a medical clinic in Nairobi, Kenya. A new mission is under development to supply much needed OTC medications to those in remote areas of East Africa and the Sudan that are without pharmacy services and far from established medical centers. This work was previous perform by the

United Nations but has gone unfunded for several years. Their work here in the States and abroad helps financially to make these medicines available to those who would otherwise be without.

Gordon Pike Educational Missionary Ministry

Gordon and Norma Pike minister with ProMETA, an interdenominational ministry of theological and Christian leadership education for church leaders in the Spanish-speaking world. By means of internet technology ProMETA provides training in theology, Bible, and Christian leadership at postgraduate, graduate and non-academic levels for students in 23 different countries, who participate in a variety of church ministries, including pastorates, while they study online.

All ProMETA programs are offered in Spanish, and do not have residency requirements, making them highly accessible to Spanish-speaking, Christian leaders in Latin America and Europe. Gordon serves as professor of pastoral counseling and the Associate Academic Dean.  Norma ministers by means of daily intercessory prayer for ProMETA staff and students.  Faith Anglican Church contributes to their monthly support.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child uses gift-filled shoe boxes to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Last year the people of Faith Anglican Church provide 300 gift boxes and postage. Faith Anglican Church partners with many Christ-centered churches here in the Mid-South and throughout the country through Samaritan's Purse in this annual outreach program. Last year we received a moving "Thank You" card from one of our recipients in Zambia delivered by a missionary returning to the US for sabbatical.
