Mission and Outreach is a vital part of the life of Faith Anglican Church.  The following is a summary of our ministry areas, including a brief description of each project and our contact person.  We hope you will get involved in reaching out!

Benedictines of Christ the King - Africa

Brother Kirt, of the Benedictines of Christ the King, gathers donations of medicine and money that support a surgery clinic in Kenya, a walk-in clinic in the Nairobi slums, and Dinka language prayer books for Sudan.

Food Offering

The third Sunday of every month, we will collect and distribute the following week canned and/or dried food. Please place your food offering in a food basket located near the double glass doors in the Narthex. Currently the food collection is given to those seeking assistance.

In Reach

Members are encouraged to minister to other members who might need help with anything from materialistic, home repairs, yard work, or rides to church etc.

Jesus Loves Memphis

All Memphis Christian Churches to work together to help the City of Memphis through building relationships in faith and love of Jesus Christ.

Life Blood

Lifeblood brings the mobile unit to us once each quarter. If someone needs blood, we can donate in that person's name.

Prison Ministry

Kairos is our primary in-prison ministry that introduces Christ and provides continuing support during the prison term. The Men's Bible study group is beginning an after-care ministry that provides needed support transitioning individuals into society.

Project Angel Tree

We receive names of needy children from DCS. Church members bring gifts requested by the children. This outreach project is coordinated by Anita Harrison and her family.

Summer Mission Trip

In years past we have done mission trips in North Dakota and New Orleans. We are in the process of finding a long-term mission relationship.

We are in the initial steps of selecting a long-term project in Southern Sudan

Father Jack and Lydia Katarishangua have been supported with money and prayers as Jack has expanded his ministry.

8th Street Mission

The 8th Street Mission provides programs and services to the homeless in Eastern Arkansas. This includes emergency shelter, a long-term addiction recovery program, healthcare / counseling, educational / occupational training, and other vital human services.

Walk for Life

Life Choices of Memphis exists “to provide a non-judgmental Christ-like environment designed to educate and empower women to make life-affirming decisions. We support Life choices by participating in their fund raising walk at Shelby Farms.
