Worship Ministries
Each Sunday morning many people are involved in leading worship. Our pastors preach God’s Word, celebrate Holy Communion, and lead the worship service. Our music director and the worship team lead our hymns and songs of praise to God. The following are other important ministries:
Acolytes
Acolytes process with the clergy, carrying the cross and torches. They serve at the Communion Table. Parents are encouraged to have their children participate in this important ministry.
Altar Guild
The members of the Altar Guild prepare the Communion Table, set out the bread and wine for Communion, maintain the candles, and prepare the baptismal font for baptisms. Volunteers are welcome.
Bread Baking
The bread used for Holy Communion at Faith is baked fresh each week. If you enjoy baking, this may be the ministry for you.
Chalice Bearers
Chalice Bearers serve God’s people "the blood of Christ, the cup of salvation" each Sunday.
Greeters
Greeters greet guests before worship, giving them helpful information about the church.
Home Communions
Holy Communion is taken to the homebound by Lay Eucharistic Ministers once a month. If you are physically unable to attend church, we will be glad to bring you Holy Communion.
Readers
Each Sunday we read from a three year set of Bible readings called the Lectionary, giving us a balanced diet of God’s Word. After our Old and New Testament readings, we conclude with proclaiming, "The Word of the Lord." The readings are read by members of the church. All members are encouraged to read.
Ushers
Ushers hand out bulletins and help people find seats. They take up the offering and guide people to Holy Communion.
